Pirates and Wildcats Make Magazine’s Top High School List

Newsweek has released its annual list of what the magazine considers the top high schools in the country. The list of 1,600 schools includes both El Camino High School and Oceanside High School. Of all the schools recognized, ECHS was ranked at number 713, while OHS was listed at 854.

The 1,600 schools represent only six percent of all the U.S. schools eligible to make the list. The major determination used by the magazine is how each school and its staff works to challenge students with advanced placement college-level courses and tests.
